History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Jocelyn grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. He keeps his long chestnut hair kept up in a rat tail. His skin is flawless and his blue eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: Born in the south to a Map Maker, Miles learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

His left leg appears badly burned and disfigured. His brown hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. Roland is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Roland was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Roger isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Roger lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gifted student he started as a Barber, but he got bored and became a Carpenter. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 10 years.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and sabotage a competitor

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.
