Description: Runty and weak-looking, he wears suspenders and brown workpants. His shirt is white, and he wears a heavy brown leather apron most of the time. His chestnut hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His eyes are green and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Banker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Gilbert is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Personality: He is a sleazy, sleazy guy. He has no qualms about using his powers of suggestion to get people to do what he wants. He disdains his fellow easterners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To unite with his brother; and an old rival family wants him found

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His first spouse was a Miller, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Miller they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Merchant, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Revenge.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bernard embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At some point he was captured by goblins and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it
