He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Shane was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Miles was born on a far northern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Assassin. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: Born to a Carpenter, his father struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west.
