History: He was born into a rich family. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Richard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Assassin father left him crippled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
