History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At some point he was captured by gnolls and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and to reunite with his absent mother
