He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

History: John lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He became a Mercenary soon after.

History: Born to a Ruler, his father struggled to pay the bills. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
