He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Sculptor. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: He was born into a rich family. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, illithids burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying south to reunite his family. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roger was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love.
