History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Conrad was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.
