History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Soapmaker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Soapmaker work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature spear.

History: Born in the east to a Fortune-teller, Norman learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: Aldous lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Aldous and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Personality: Alex speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him.
