History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Ernest grew up listening to his father's many stories. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ernest fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Clerebold lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Marshal and was forced into it by his family.
