History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to cover his moderate length white hair. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He is a Seamstress first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Roland lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roland was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
