History: Roland hails from a village terrorized by orcs. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roland was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Gardener. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
