History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bowyer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Bertram was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.
