His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Ploughman they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Body Guard, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Shane was born on a far eastern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Shepherd. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.
