History: Ernest was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. The war was a terrible time for him, and Randal does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
