History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His parents were killed by goblins in a raid when he was still a young child. The goblins captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, John never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire; and to reunite with his absent mother

History: Kyle lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and doesn't want to be a gardener and was forced into it by his family

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 3 years.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.
