Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. Bertram is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Bertram lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Shoemaker for the past few years.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the north. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Alexandre alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
