History: Born to a Layabout, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to share knowledge with the world

Personality: Hugh is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: Hugh lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Hugh never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and an old rival family wants him found

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He wears a black armored body suit, with a simple grey line shooting up and back down. He sports a long brown beard, and similarly colored long hair. His eyes are hazel and catlike.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Balimaar embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: Balimaar lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Balimaar's homeland. Balimaar decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A freak accident while working with his Weaver father left him crippled. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Adam fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.
