History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Bertram has worked very hard to control his curse. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Born in the north to a Guard, Gerard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His childhood dream was to be a Performer, but he was a colossal failure. He has worked as a Guard like his father before him.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

History: Don was born with his mother's beautiful face. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
