History: He was born into a rich family. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He's also a talented Server, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Bertram's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gifted student he started as a Sailor, but he got bored and became a Spy. He has achieved small success as a Spy.

History: Jocelyn was born with his father's beautiful face. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature flail.
