Afterwards he claimed he had encountered giants who tried to eat his hand. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Bernard was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He bought a kukri and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.
