When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 9 years.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. Alexandre enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Alexandre was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Carter but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gifted student he started as a Bricklayer, but he got bored and became a Miller. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
