History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Bookbinder arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bookbinder. He's also a talented Layabout, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Spy but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Shane grew up listening to his mother's many stories. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Spy. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Spy.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Sage. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 11 years.

Personality: Balimaar is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Balimaar liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He now mingles about in high society.
