History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Arnold alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: Many drow want him driven away.
