History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ernest fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. Don enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Don was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this eastern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. He worked as a nervous Sellsword and found it very stressful. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and wants to open a new tavern

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. A true patriot, William would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Born in the east to a Unemployed, William learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and balancing his hectic life and new unemployed responsibilities is difficult
