Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Human people; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Shane was born on a far southern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Detective. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Shane fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
