Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Miner born in the past three hundred years. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: Miles lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He now owns his own business.

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. Frederick enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Frederick was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He found a children's book about a Human Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Frederick was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.
