He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Adventurer but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Miles never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: The child of a Spy, who enjoyed hunting, Bertram was taken on many hunting expeditions. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He came across an abandoned tomb where he found a relic that called out to him. After picking it up he was cursed by vampirism.
