History: Hubert lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He found a children's book about a Human Warlock who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Sailor and was forced into it by his family; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

History: Ernest was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
