Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Manfred embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: Raymond hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his singing career. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he seems to be bored by most things

Personality: Ernest is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Ernest was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Description: This man stands a little under 6'5" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. He has wavy black hair. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He takes great joy in being the best Animal Trainer in town.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Expand his business; and balancing his hectic life and new animal trainer responsibilities is difficult
