History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A freak accident while working with his Barkeep father left him crippled. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Roger fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Herbalist for hire.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and to pay off his debts

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He wears professional attire. His hair is white and curly. He was beautiful and young once, which still shows through his age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. The war was a terrible time for him, and Charles does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Charles was born with his father's beautiful face. A gifted student he started as a Butcher, but he got bored and became a Layabout. He tends to his Layabout job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Further expansion of business.

History: Peter lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Miller they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Adventurer, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and wants to raise his children well

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what he was had he not made sure his armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit he tends to wear a large brown jacket. With a patchy chestnut beard and wild chestnut hair. His eyes are violet and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He hates Humans with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has achieved small success as a Mayor.

Motivation: Many brigands want him driven away; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
