History: He was born at the edge of vast island. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: Jocelyn was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
