He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and to reunite with his old friends

He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has worked as a Detective like his mother before him.

Personality: Geoffrey wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Born in the north to a Merchant, Geoffrey learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
