Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Ploughman but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. Bertram liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Dyer arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. A freak accident while working with his Mason father left him crippled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
