History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born in a small desert village. Shane was born on a far northern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Bricklayer. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
