Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, gnolls burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He bought a sword and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and to unite with his brother

Personality: Rolf is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing singing.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Rolf fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Gerald was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. A gifted student he started as a Fletcher, but he got bored and became a Carter. He tends to his Carter job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
