Some 7 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Gerard never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: Born to a Sage, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting gnolls, the young Norman began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Norman was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Ploughman, but he got bored and became a Dilettante. He became a Dilettante soon after.
