History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Anselm alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted.
