History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Bertram alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
