When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Body Guard hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Personality: Manfred wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Expert, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Manfred alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. History: He was born into a rich family. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
