In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Engraver business.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

Description: With grey face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright black and tan, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He keeps his silver hair in a pixie cut. His eyes are green and catlike.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Gifted from a young age, Arnold studied abroad. After coming to the age of reason, Arnold took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He tends to his Barrister job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he seems to be bored by most things

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his singing dream.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he's repulsed by the pc
