Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Roland was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and his religion dominates his actions

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and regain custody of his son
