Description: This malnourished man is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. With bright golden hair and a scraggly beard. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. Roger enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Roger was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Description: He is a small man, but exceptionally fit. He is wearing a long, black, dusty cloak. His brown hair is cut short. His hazel eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Percival lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He's also a talented Soapmaker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and to share knowledge with the world

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to end his boredom

Description: This man is bedraggled and starved. He tends to wear a large brown jacket. He has styled his black hair well, parting it to the left. His eyes are violet and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Adelard embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His first spouse was a Brewer, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear
