He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
