Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Alex embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Alex lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Through the years after Alex was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Personality: He is fixated on the number 40. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
