History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Roger alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Roger never married again.
