Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Humans. His skin is dark but he possesses many grey ritualistic tattoos. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His chestnut hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. He has amber eyes.
Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.
History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
Motivation: He is greedy.

Description: This southern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He wears an entirely black suit with blue socks and a vest with buckled shoes. His brown hair is unkempt and raggedy. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.
Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.
History: Conrad was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Conrad alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and to get a good night's sleep

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He wears a red cloak and cross-gartered black stockings. He has dyed his greying brown hair a little too much giving a sharp brown color. His brown eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.
Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing poetry.
History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Hugh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: He's looking for his big break.

Description: He is scrawny and has patchy auburn stubble. He prefers to wear the grand gowns of high society. He carries his fan with him everywhere and carries himself as the perfect gentleman. He has a hunchback. His auburn hair is drawn into a tight pony tail with a dagger scrunchie. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are brown.
Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Engraver but believes his peers are too gung-ho.
History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Engraver arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Reynard was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
