Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Tanner but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Jocelyn was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ernest embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Painter arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: The child of a Merchant, who enjoyed hunting, Patrick was taken on many hunting expeditions. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: He was born in the south. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scythe.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and wants his loneliness to end
