History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Hubert grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it
