Through the years after Gerard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Gerard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Arnold has worked very hard to control his curse. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Mercenary for the past few years.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dyer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Dyer.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and expand his business

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this northern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his 13th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.
